The short version
Assetto Corsa drift competition, explained
An Assetto Corsa drift competition is an online sim racing event where drivers are judged on style, line and control, not lap time. Drivers first run a judged solo qualifying round. The top qualifiers then meet in tandem battles: two cars drift together, each driver leads one run and chases in the other, and judges compare both runs to decide who advances.
There are two ways in. Drivers enter an organized championship and compete. Organizers run their own events and need tools for judging, entries, broadcasts and Discord. This page points each to the right place.
Two paths
Why these two
For drivers
Compete with EFVD
- International championship. EFVD (Effervescence Virtual Drift) has run Assetto Corsa drift events since 2023, with competitors from more than 20 countries.
- A real competition format. Scored qualifying, then judged tandem battles comparing lead and chase runs, building to season standings.
- Published rules. Public judging guide, technical regulations, code of conduct and a protest and appeal process, so drivers know how decisions are made.
- A driver pathway. Progress from Applicant to Wild Card Driver, Licensed Driver and EFVD Ambassador.
- Car preparation support. An official Car Tech Kit and checklist to get an eligible car through inspection.
- Live broadcasts. Events are streamed live on the EFVD YouTube channel, with replays and highlights.

FAQ
Common questions
- What is an Assetto Corsa drift competition?
- An online sim racing event in Assetto Corsa where drivers are judged on drifting style, line and control. It usually starts with judged solo qualifying, followed by tandem battles where two drivers alternate leading and chasing.
- How do I join an Assetto Corsa drift competition?
- For EFVD, join the official Discord, open #driver-application and press Apply to Compete. Staff review each application; accepted drivers then request individual rounds through My EFVD. See the New Driver Guide.

- You need a server, a judging process, a way to take entries, and ideally a broadcast. Event Toolkit offers modular tools for each of these, and its free guides explain how to run a smoother event.
- Does Event Toolkit host my event?
- No. The tools run on your own accounts and computers. You buy the current version of each module once, as software only or with guided setup.
